How to Adpot A Kitty Cat

Qualifications: I have a cat that I adopted.

Welcome to my tutorial. You will be able to adpot a cat after you finish reading this.

There are only three simple steps:

• 1. Find and go to your nearest adoption center.
• 2. Find a kitty you like.
• 3. Fill out adoption papers and pay adoption fee!

Step 1: Find your nearest adoption center.

You can use a search engine like Google, Bing, or even Apple Maps. Find your nearest adoption center that has cats. For me, mine was WAGS Pet Adoption Center in Westminister, California!

Step 2: Find a Cat you like.

There are many types of cats, as you probably know. There are kittens, cats, male, female, and different cats with color coats! Make sure to do research on which cat would fit your lifestyle. Cat personalities and behavior can depend on the color coat of the cat. For example, orange Tabby cats are known to be a little bit silly. Calico cats can run more independent, etc.
Also, find a cat that likes you back. Observe their personalities and see which ones come up to greet you first! Which cat tugs at your heart strings? Spend some time with them and scope out the vibe.

Step 3: Fill out the adpotion papers and logistics.

Once you found a kitty that would be a good fit personality wise and for lifestyle, talk to the staff about adopting him/her. Fill out the adoption papers and pay the adoption fee. The cat is now yours!

Pro Tip: Bring a carrier and prepare cat supplies beforehand. For example, litter box, treats, cat shampoo, comb, and wet food!
